Rustic grade owns wood as it grows: frank knots, sapwood, colour variation. Same oak, same construction as calm grades — only the selection changes, and the price per m² with it.
What exactly is a rustic grade?
A selection that admits open or filled knots, sapwood and colour variation. It is not a manufacturing defect: structure and wear layer are identical to higher grades.
Why is rustic cheaper?
Because nature produces more character wood than perfect wood: calm selections are rare, hence expensive. Rustic gives you the same floor at the best price per m².
Which style suits a rustic floor?
Country house, industrial loft, open kitchen, entrance: wherever the marks of life should blend in rather than stand out. Brushed matte, it ages remarkably well.
